#SOSUSKIN Cream Contour Sticks | Review

-
Well hello there.!
I feel like it's been a hot minute since I last posted to here (#SorryNotSorry!) I guess I just wasn't feeling it there for awhile so FN&M took a back seat. Sometimes you need some down time - but I'll talk about that in a later post - today is makeup day.!!

SoSueMe or Suzanne Jackson for those of you who don't know is one of Ireland's top bloggers who has launched quite a few beauty products over the years. Her latest makeup product to hit our shelves was SOSUSKIN - a collection of cream contour sticks. The range consists of three contour shades (Warm, Cool & Dark), one highlight/glow (Iridescent) and a concealer (Light) and retail at €15.95.

Pigment:
The first thing we all do is swatch when we hit the makeup aisle - and these swatch like a dream.! If there is one thing I hate is seeing pigment in a pot and not on my hand. But I was happy out as you can see in the photo below that the pigment comes through to the skin. No need to set your contour with a pigmented powder either as these sticks are enough by themselves and can be set with a simple translucent powder.

Blend:
Because these sticks are super creamy they are super blendable too.! I've used these sticks with both a sponge and a brush and the result is the same. You can directly apply this to your face (no need to warm up on the back of your hand like some contour sticks) and it blends into your foundation with no effort at all.

Durability:
I've been using these since the day I got them. I don't use any sort of other powdered contour with them and they last all day - no need to reapply. (Top Tip: A little goes a long way too.!)

Is it worth your coin?
YES. If you are on the fence about buying these sticks - go ahead and and jump right off and to your local supplier (stockist list *here*). You get a lot for your money - WAY more product compared to her contour palette. Also I must say as a pale girl with red hair the concealer shade is perfect - it's somehow brighter than porcelain.! *yay* thank god someone finally thought of the pale gals.!

But I will say that I wasn't too keen on the glow - I was expecting it to be a bit more, well glowy.!  That being said it is marketed as a glow and not a highlight so I can't be too mad. For me I use this just under my foundation to add a little more lift to my look (it is quite subtle) or I'd pop a little on those days that I don't want to wear makeup (well other than mascara.!) to make my skin look a lot brighter and healthier.!

So I decided to put together a little video demonstrating how I use the cream contour sticks and my overall thoughts on the products. If you like to see more makeup demos (I swear with practice I'll get the hang of it - pretty sure I'm a tad out of focus.!!) make sure that you SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube channel.!

Let me know if you tried #SOSUSKIN yet? or what you'd like to see next.
